The problem: a LiftMaster chain drive from 2003 had a logic board that intermittently dropped the remote signal, and the door would open and then reverse halfway down for no apparent reason. What we did: confirmed the board failure by reading the diagnostic code on the unit, then swapped the opener for a belt-drive Chamberlain with a solid rail and a new wall console. Bottom Seal and Weatherstrip Replacement in a Flood-Prone Neighborhood
